What is Böeseken-Ballio oxidation?

The Böeseken-Ballio oxidation, which is also referred to as the Böeseken oxidation, involves the obtention of aryl acetates by using peracetic acid PAA and p-toluenesulfonic acid p-TSA to oxidize aromatic aldehydes.
