Combes quinoline synthesis

What is Combes quinoline synthesis?

The Combes quinoline synthesis is a chemical process that involves the formation of quinolines by condensing primary arylamines with β-diketones. The resulting intermediate Schiff base is then subjected to acid-catalyzed ring closure to produce the final quinoline product.
