Conrad-Limpach quinoline synthesis

What is Conrad-Limpach quinoline synthesis?

The Conrad-Limpach quinoline synthesis, also referred to as the Conrad-Limpach cyclization, is a chemical process that involves the thermal condensation of arylamines with β-ketoesters. The resulting intermediate Schiff bases are then cyclized to form 4-hydroxyquinolines.
