Dutt-Wormall reaction

What is Dutt-Wormall reaction?

The Dutt-Wormall reaction is a chemical process used to prepare diazoaminosulfinates. This involves the reaction of diazonium salts with aryl- or alkylsulfonamides, which are subsequently subjected to alkaline hydrolysis. This results in the formation of the corresponding sulfinic acid of the sulfonamide and the azide.
