Elbs persulfate oxidation

What is Elbs persulfate oxidation?

The Elbs persulfate oxidation is a chemical reaction that leads to the hydroxylation of monophenols, resulting in predominantly p-diphenols. Additionally, this reaction can also be used for the oxidation of methyl-substituted aromatics. This process is accomplished by using persulfates, such as K2S2O8.
