Gogte synthesis

What is Gogte synthesis?

The Gogte synthesis is a chemical reaction in which β-substituted glutaconic anhydrides react with one or two molecules of an acyl chloride in the presence of pyridine to form C-acylation products. These compounds can then be converted into α-pyrone derivatives through heating.
