What is Meyer reaction?

The Meyer reaction is a chemical process that involves the reaction of an alkyl iodide with an alkali stannite to produce alkylstannonic acids. This reaction can also be applied to alkali arsenites or plumbites, resulting in the formation of alkylarsonic and alkylplumbonic acids, respectively.
