Riemschneider thiocarbamate synthesis

What is Riemschneider thiocarbamate synthesis?

The Riemschneider thiocarbamate synthesis involves the transformation of arylthiocyanates into their corresponding thiocarbamates. This is accomplished by using concentrated sulfuric acid (H2SO4) followed by treatment with ice-water.
