What is Stollé synthesis?

The Stollé synthesis is a process used to create indole derivatives. This involves reacting arylamines with α-haloacid chlorides or oxalyl chloride, which leads to the formation of amides. The next step is to cyclize the resulting amides with aluminum chloride, which ultimately yields indole derivatives.
