What is Cornforth rearrangement?

The Cornforth rearrangement refers to a chemical reaction where 4-carbonyl substituted oxazoles undergo thermal rearrangement, resulting in the formation of isomeric oxazoles through the use of dicarbonyl nitrile ylides.
